These guys are very nice at first... as all con men are...
We were on our vacation in lovely Hong Kong, when we were met on the street and lured into their shop. I was in fact looking for a nice pair of shorts and a vest to wear to a wedding in Vietnam, so I told them what I needed. First they gave me a price that was too high. I politely told them that that was out of my price range. I was looking for something to probably wear once and I could find something cheaper in the stores. Then they significantly lowered their price. I was still not sure cause we only had a few days left in Hong Kong, but they promised they will finish it in time.
Next day we went back for 2nd measurement as agreed, but they WERE NOT READY. We had to postpone our trip to Disneyland a couple of hours to wait for them. After the measurement they asked if I could pay the full price. Stupid as I was, I did...
When the shorts and vest were suppose to be ready we came to the store to pick it up, but it was of course not finished. This was one day before we had to leave Hong Kong. We told them the situation and they promised it will be finished the next day and they would bring it to my hotel. I'm sure you will understand why I couldn't trust these words, as they have been delayed two times already.
I asked for my money back. If they could deliver the items to the hotel the next day before we left for the airport, they would get their money. They refused, and the argument started. They called me cheap (actually yelled it at me). It was funny cause they were the one who pulled me from the street at lowered their prices without me asking for it, and practically begged me to buy from them. When I, in fact, did not want to buy from them. My wife got irritated and told them they were unfair. It was very clear that they (there were 3 of them) came from a culture were women aren't suppose to say their opinion, and they got angrier and yelled at my wife too. I yelled back at them. It ended with them throwing the money on the counter and yelled at us to get out. We got the money and got out.
They did not deliver the items to the hotel the next day.
