Since 1961, our business, now in its third generation, has maintained its reputation for producing quality custom made clothing by our team of artisan tailors.     It has been years since I tried them, but the material used for my suit was very cheap, the trousers wore down right away. Another suit I had made by a local tailor has been excellent, and that has been over 15 years.

    AVOID After trying a purchase I noticed their site had issue. Several attempts were made to contact them before purchasing online. Was rudely replied to after making contact. Despite the lack of a reply my email that was replied to , was to say the site had issue holding my shopping cart overnight and I would gamble with a purchase …. With the reply calling my help rude and obnoxious , I KNOW BEFORE MY PURCHASE THAT WITH A POOR SITE , POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A VERY IGNORANT REPLY WHEN HELPFUL COMMENTS GIVEN BY A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER THAT MAXWELL DESERVES NO BUSINESS FROM ANYONE. Business and especially the tailor industry is about serving the customer with the highest standards , not some rudeness after receiving helpful info.

    These guys are hit-or-miss. I ordered a first batch of shirts in January 2014 and they were excellent. I visited their touring tailor in San Francisco and got my order a few months later. Good fit, good price. I ordered another four shirts from them later that year. Again, I visited the touring tailor in San Francisco and expected to receive another round of great fitted shirts. This time, however, the shirts came with some of the worst fits I've ever seen. I tried contacting them about the issue to either get a re-fund or a new shipment, but they didn't have a satisfactory fix for the issue. They told me to bring my shirts back to the touring tailor the next time he was in town (yeah, like I'm going to waste my time doing that!). So, I just left the shirts sitting on my shelf until I figured out what to do about them. I stumbled upon my incorrectly tailored Maxwell shirts again and brought them in to a local tailor in Sunnyvale. The local tailor looked at the fit and remarked these problems needed correction: -Sleeves too long -Shoulders too wide -Waist too large Basically, it's like Maxwell completely got my measurements wrong for the shipment. The cost to repair the shirts is going to be almost as much as it cost to get them from Maxwell's in the first place. So when you order from Maxwell, know that you might get a bad shipment and sink $$$ into unwearable clothes that cost even more $$$ to fix. (Source: Yelp)
