Founded in 1962, Mode Elegante initially based in Shanghai and eventually moved to Hong Kong. Mode Elegante shop opens at The Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong and a legend of Tailor begins. In 2009, Mode Elegante moved to the new shop and continues to serve customers at Star House in Tsimshatsui.

Mr. Gary Zee has been in the tailoring industry for over 50 years and is currently the director of Mode Elegante. Gary believes in "Simple is Elegant" and focuses on craftsmanship includes hand-stitching, styling, fitting and measurement.

Mode Elegante offers service to overseas tailor-made clothing customers by annual summer & winter sale tours in USA, UK, Australia and Japan since 1982. If your parties are 5 or above who are interested in tailor-make, Mode Elegante will offer a special tour for you.

    40 years ago I had a Harris Tweed sports jacket made for me during a 24 hour layover when they were in the Peninsula Hotel. I wear it to this day. Absolutely top notch work. I would recommend them unreservedly.

    Great experience. They offer precise measurement and styling advice. I purchased two suits with Italy fabric and the craftsmanship is really good. I love the soft lapel very much!

    Really good. Their suits are of traditional craftsmanship with decent quality. I love their shirts even more, have got something like 15 shirts purchased from them.
